Export-Import
we take care of all the export-import regulations. We work closely with many veterinarians, the German Veterinarian Service and a reputable exporter. Otherwise we are happy to advise you, so everything will run as smoothly as possible.

Veterinary tests
before buying a horse we recommend that a veterinarian performs a clinical exam as well as several x-rays. In addition to this an insurance company may request additional veterinarian information which can be obtained at the same time. In order for a horse to clear quarantine in the US it is necessary that its blood be tested. This is not a requirement, but we strongly advise this. One wouldn't want the horse unnecessarily to be sent back at the buyer's expenses. You will receive an international veterinarian report from the German veterinarian. Before transport the Vet in Germany inspects all our horses. This is the official veterinary inspection service of the entire country. They verify the horse's registration and check their health for transport.

Quarantaine
the US has rules regarding the import of horses from other countries. Geldings have a quarantine of 3 days before they will be released. Mares require an additional 2 weeks and stallions an additional 4 weeks. Cost of the additional quarantine depends on the CEM-station the owner chooses in the US.

Transport
equistraconsulting transports all horses with German or Dutch Cargo. Cargo only with the leading Horsetransporter for horseflights. Please visit the website of KLM and Martinair. So far we have been extremely satisfied with how they handled our horses.
